i'm looking for a cheap nice strut bar but unable to find one for a 90 corolla sr5. i was wondering if the strut bar on the 83-87 corolla will fit on my 90 corolla
The only good strut bar you may find in junkyards are the factory 3 point strut bar from the 2 door Corolla GTS AE92-chassis. Basically an sport version of what you have except with a factory wing, side skirts, and maybe some other good stuff.
AE92 Factory 3 pointer bars will fit any AE92 2-door or 4-door. Once you mount/bolt the bar on the top of the struts, just drill the two holes that go on the firewall and bolt the bar there for the 3rd point for it's full effectiveness.
The bar only came on AE92 Corolla GTS, and I think Geo Prizm LSi.
yes both the strut bar and sway bar from the GTS will fit. For the sway though, you'll have to grab the front control arms as well for the mounting tab for the end links.

by mounting tab for the end links I assume you meant the brackets that bolt to the sub frame? the mounting tabs for the endlinks are what are on the control arms.
and yes it does make a good bit of difference too, I'm currently in the middle of finally installing my whiteline front sway bar, I'm looking forward to it

If you want an aftermarket performance sway bar, or other suspension components Whiteline has the best options. Although you will have to wait for shipping, since Whiteline Suspensions is out of Australia.

I get my whiteline stuff from never enough auto. They're either US or Canada based (can't remember) and they have a lot of the stuff in stock.
as for springs, I've heard intrax are decent. But I personally like my APEX springs a whole lot (they're around $200) or if you want some really nice ones, I would go with ground control springs/coilover sleeves for around $400.

No he meant the control arms for the suspension because the sr5 ones don't have the tabs for the sway bars... It's why my front sway bar isn't on my car.. I didn't know I needed the front control arms and I am missing one bracket for the subframe (I don't think they are an insane price to buy new though, unlike the control arms lol)

yeah, but he said the control arms and the mounting tabs. the mounting tabs are on the control arms...
I was lucky, I got one of the last whiteline bars that came with all the brackets so you don't need a stock bar
