window regulator

The drivers window on my '90 SR5, out of nowhere, suddenly decides it only wants to roll down about an inch and a half. The passenger window has this same problem sort of. You can give it hell and a little help and it will get past this sticky spot. The drivers window wont budge any further though.

Is it shot (go to junk yard) or can it be fixed?

Are these manual or power windows? You can disconnect the window from the regulator and see if it slides up and down smoothly. If it does, then there is probably something wrong with your regulator.

My passenger side window is intermittent using the driver's side switch, but works well with the passenger side switch.
Maybe you have a worn switch (like mine)
