Suspension ?

I have a 90 Prism and the suspension is worn out. I dont want to spend a $1000 on coilovers. Will kyb gr2 struts work fine over lowering springs or will they wear out really fast. Dont really want to lower the car but looking for a little better cornering, but I know it isnt a race car. Are there any stock height springs that r stiffer. Thank you

GR-2s are ok....

They don't like being lowered a lot, but a little lowering should be ok.

the only springs I would really suggest with them are eibach springs they lower the car about an inch as opposed to over an inch and a half that most other springs lower.

I had GR-2s on with a set of B+G springs and the fronts blew in 6 months...

+1

Yeah. The Eibach lowering springs will give you a firmer ride with only a modest drop (1").
That is what I have on my GT-S, with KYB AGXs (adjustable) on the front and KYB GR-2s on the back .
I wish I could get AGXs for the back.

The GR-2s with the stock springs will give you a difference you can appreciate.

I appreciate the advice. Yall have answered my question perfectly. I had a 92 talon tsi and had the agx on the rear so I could stiffen up the rear to help decrease weight transfer. They were awesome. As I get older I dont miss the problems of slamming a vehicle.

This is what my car looks like with the Eibach pro lowering springs. The ride is good with the KYBs but I would like to get Konis, and it could do to be lowered about a 1/2" more on the front.
