Steering ?

Steering is ok but everytime i turn the wheel in either direction there is a little whine. It is not a popping sound. I am decent at replacing parts and know a little about cars but not diagnosing them. I think it sounds like a pump issue

have you checked your power steering fluid? it sounds like it's low.

not yet. just noticed it this morning and its been pouring in tn.

The only thing it really could be is power-steering related. Check the tension and condition of your power steering belt (it could be slipping).....and the fluid level/ condition. If the belt is OK.....fluid level/ condition is OK....yet the sound gets worse over time..... then your PS pump is dying.
