Parking brake light ('89 Corolla All-Trac)

The parking brake light on my 1989 Corolla All-Trac becomes illuminated when braking. Is this an indicator of anything related to the performance (or lack thereof) of the braking system???

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

You might have low fluid level.
On some other Toyotas (Camry) a brake light out will turn the light on, but I am not sure about the Corolla.

In the Corolla it only indicates a low fluid level
