Anyone know where I can get it from? I need that thin foam padding that is between the door and the door cover. I think it's the same as the foam that's on the underside of the foax leather on the dash.

At Home Depot and Lowes in the area where they sell the water heaters buy a roll of Frost King Duct Wrap ($14-18). It's a thin layer of dense foam bonded to aluminum foil. Excellent for the use you mention and is also a cheap, lightweight sound insulation for the door skins, under the carpeting, etc.

That may work! I never thought about that. As long as it takes adhesive spray, because it's going pretty everywhere in my car. Hopefully lowes is open tomorrow, christmas...

That may work good for the door panels to keep moisture out and stuff. But remember if you're trying to sound deaden anything, less vibration is the key. You'd want something stiff that stiffens the panel and makes it more resistant to vibration, like Dynomat.. But of course that shit is way too expensive, but there's always much cheaper alternatives that work the same.

The sound deadening is not my worries, not one of my goal.

I'm planning on putting suede on plastic parts, the dash, and wherever else I can. I just need like a laye of cushion behind it... Like the existing door skins on all ae92's, there's like a very thin layer of soft foam behind it.
