jdm lights

hey guys I'm a gen 2 camry guy but I'm on vacation in Thailand and I've really been admiring the 4dr JDM ae92's over here thinking about getting one, and I was wondering if the jdm tails would bolt right up to our usdm Ae92's or would it only bolt up to a specific year. I also wanted to know if the JDM headlights would bolt right up. Like I recognize that the sidemarkers are different than the usdm ones but not too sure about the head lights them self are any different. If their the same would I be able to just buy the JDM sidemarkers and pair them with the usdm headlights and perhaps the JDM mesh grille? Thanks for any and all of ur help -Eric

It should be possible to bolt them to the car. The mounting points are the same for all variants if I'm not mistaken.

But take into acount that you might have to change the bonnet or the fenders aswell because the shape might be different

Anything sedan will only fit the sedan. Anything coupe will only fit the coupe. Of course, years between 1988 thru 1992 AE92 chassis.

I hope you're having fun in Thailand, my origin

Yea its been really fun. Been all over Bangkok, Chang Mai, Payo. Parts are pretty cheap over here just worried about how I'm going to get them and my clothes back without exceeding the 40 lbs max the airlines gave me.

Thanks for your guys help so far. So does anyone know if theirs a difference between the usdm and jdm headlights? cause I know I definitely see a difference in the corner lights but not sure about the head lights. So no extra fender or hood will be needed to make them fit right? Thanks again Eric

You can always pack the parts and ship them to your home address via UPS, FedEx or whatever... I have plans on doing that if I go to Thailand some where in the close future.

But yea, no fenders or hoods required. UNLESS!!! If you see the LEVIN Ae92 (non pop up headlights on the coupes), they require the hood and fenders. That's the only thing.

I do believe that there is a difference, but don't hold me to it.

This has been discussed on here before, only problem is that too often the topic heading doesn't describe the content of the thread.

Try a search and see what comes up, I know it is here somewhere.

Fron headlight, corners and grille on a AE92 two door coupe LEVIN. In the US, we have only the pop up headlights.

This is the "wagon-face" headlights, grille, and corners on an AE92 sedan... Also, the wagon front bumper. All bolt on for the sedans. There are 6 variations of the the grilles (C, S, and T. The other is a like a grate, that's jdm. The other two are seen in the US).

The sedan wagon face by itself, not installed. This is what is commonly saught for.
