91 Corolla has spark and fuel bu no start.

Hello everyone hope you can all help because I'm going crazy with this one. Anyway, I have a 91 corolla 1.6 151,000 and purred like a kitten. It had a bad valve cover leak so I fixed it and cleaned the engine. It ran perfect for about 30 minutes then died and has'nt started since. We have tested the spark and it's good to all plugs. There's fuel because the plugs are soaked when I took them out, but it doesnt want to start. I tested the coil with ohm meter and it looks ok. It has a fresh tune up about 200 miles ago. Please help me figure this out and let me know if you want more info. Thanks

When was your timing belt replaced last? Sounds like it could have jumped a few teeth. If you have spark and fuel, all thats left is compression, which will be drastically thrown off by a jumped belt.

I will check that...Its just strange it was running perfect for 30 min or so after cleaning engine and now nothing. Not sure why it would be timing belt but I will check. Anyone have a nother solution maybe? Thanks a bunch

I second this.
Do a compression test.

Thanks for the help so far...I checked the timing and it is perfect. I then pulled all the plugs again to check for spark. Looks like 1 and 2 have a weak intermittent spark and 3 and 4 have a white spark but are constant. Hardly any water got into cap. The coil is sealed up pretty good and I tested with ohm meter again and its within range. What does the igniter do? also on the outside of dist therees a condensor looking thing. Anyone know what that is? It looks original to the car lol. Thanks for any help.

The condenser functions to suppress static on the radio. Have you tried using starting fluid to get it going?

Wouldnt it be a bit hard to use starter fluid to get it started? Unless its carbed I guess. He didnt say what engine. But all I know is once you take that mass air flow off, the car dies instantly lol.

If it's fuel injected (4AFE) remove rubber air intake, open throttle slightly, spray starting fluid and then attempt to start engine. There is no mass air flow sensor just a MAP sensor unless it's a 4AGE.
