Unhappy mr skud

ive got a corrolla 1.6 its got ideling probs and not really sure where to start with it seems ok most of the time but a few days ago it was sat ideling with two wheels on the curb an after bout 15 20 mins the revs started to drop an it stalled, i cant see that being due to a cable adjustment as then would not hold revs at all. is it possible that its the idle control valve playing up i never heard any screeching from the engine bay so have ruled this out. i should probably mention that the temperature has dropped quite significantly in the last few weeks, although i cant really see this having any effect on the way the car idles. the previous owner has mentioned that this has happened to him a few time b4 and always seems to b when the car is on a slope for a while, but once run for a bit goes back to ideling fine again.

any ideas would b greatly appreciated. cheers.

If it's carbed you could have a float adjustment issue.

title usually means the title of this thread, in your case... "idle problems" or "Corolla problems" etc...

This is usually a problem in hot weather or when the motor is hot, the car idles low and sometimes even shuts off, could be a bad thermostat not opening and closing properly.
