automatic to manual conversion?

I'm wonder if anyone successfully converted their automatic sedan to 5 speed manual tranny. If so what parts are needed and whats involved in doing so. In other words, how much work and money does it take. Thanks in advance.

I successfully did, plenty others as well.

Parts Needed:
1. 5spd Transmission
2. Clutch Slave Cylinder
3. Clutch Master Cylinder
4. Flywheel
5. Clutch Fork
6. Clutch Hydraulic Lines (from master to slave cylinder)

7. Clutch Pedal
8. Both shift cables
9. Shifter Assembly

10. Friction Plate/ Pressure Plate/ Release Bearing (buy new at any autopart store, should come all three together)
Anything you can buy new, I recommend. That way you know for sure it wouldn't be a problem.

11. ALL NUTS/ BOLTS and retaining clips, even if you can use old ones just incase you lost them or whatever.
12. Brake/ Clutch fluid.
13. 75W Gear Oil

The only modification that'll need precision is drilling the 3 holes for the clutch pedal. You'll also need to jump the two red wires from the plug that plugged up to the automatic trans.

The skinny brake pedal is optional. I still have the fat one, it doesn't get in the way or anything.

For me, I could;ve had it done within less than a week but it took 5+ months... work... had to find parts in junkyards... research so no mistake at first attempt... WALLA! Now a stick! I spent maybe damn near $300 - $400 TOTAL. Not including the jack and engine hoist I bought, metal hole drills, and a tarp to cover the project. Now, if you called a shop for how much they'll charge if they do it, I got an est. of $2000 with parts NOT INCLUDED.

... anything I forget?...
