AE92 Help Me Decide Next Modification

Hi Gang!!!
First I wanna thank everyone for there patience and support along the way

I need to decide my next plan of attack. so far my options include Getting MS, or start the 7age build

both will not be simple affairs... and my current 4afte setup has no room for improvement.

i will also be doing some other stuff like replacing brake fluid to motul or somehing like that. also ill be getting an sfi rated seat for myself.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the only chassis mods i could do would be fender-braces

1. MS- so i'm worried about little things here and there that ill end up needing like on-board ignition sequential injection etc...

i guess i need the 42-pin Pnp box and ill have to make a jumper plug for my 4afe harness.
i can't think of a better way to retain the 42-pin plug for later "G" use

4AGE+Turbo.... Involves a lot of money too. Get the internals redone, lower the compression. I'm not willing to pay $1500+ for a 4AGZE, rather pay for something newer (the silvertop).

The ae101 4agze and ae101 silvertop are the same vintage. Depending on what you want the car for the 4agze is almost always a better bang for your buck. I have driven them all and own both 4agze and silvetop right now, and would much rather drive the gze, the torque curve of the gze is something the silvertop/blacktop will never have and is very addicting.

If you want to put in more work, maybe the 3SGTE. I see more of those than the 4AGZE.

Only thing motorcyclish about it is the design of the head, otherwise its quite far out there.

Time the cams like you'd time it on a stock 4A-GE. I mean it has to be quite far off not to get it to start. Ignition timing, I'd start with the normal setup and 5-10deg btdc and go from there.

Here's a good read for you, now keep in mind that he was tuning for a NA engine and since yours would be boosted your cam timing with stock cams would be different. You could use his settings with stock cams and ignition timing to get it started then try to dial out some overlap afterwards.

http://te51levin.superjamie.net/streetdyno.html

I still say the easiest way to do this is find a complete ae101 or late ae92 gze swap and go from there. You'll have a nice foundation to start and you can enjoy the low rpm pull of the supercharger for a while before you bolt a turbo on. Once you go for more than about 240ish whp costs start climbing quickly. I would hate to tell you what I have in mine already to just turbo it with a stock ae92 4agze ecu trying to do it nicely.

Another thought is fitting gze pistons into your current block along with ARP head studs and a light rebuild of the engine/head with MS or similar.

thanks Richard I've read pretty much every diy i can get my grubby fingers on just apprehensive about the build

I was planning on doing it in stages to help keep costs down
1) replace all weak components pistons, rods, main and rod bolts, head studs, 2mm HG

2)buy crap i need: large-port crank sprocket, adj. cam pulleys, Porsche TB

3)engine assmbly: engine gasket set for both motors, oilpump, water pump
