New Exhaust Flex Pipe

I am sick of the leaking exhaust flex pipe. It sound slike a tractor..

I called the muffler shop. and aksed how much to put a new one on..

$50.00 for the part and $75.00 labor. I had found some pipes for less, so I bought a 2" x 8" for $25.00 at an auto parts store.

I am so out of touch with prices on everything,, I think $75 is too much but hey, I am out of touch..

I hope that takes care of the cackling crap sound..

I hated it when mine rusted completely where the flexible part.

IMO, any leaks further down the exhaust system seems to sound more pleasing than any leak that is closer towards the motor.

that sounds pretty close on labor. thats about one hour labor or so by their price.

But yeah, I replaced the whole section when mine started leaking from the weld right before the flex section. Was pretty easy except the bolts at the cat which were barely discernable.

For the most part yes, but when the pipe leading into the muffler rusts out and rattles around, its pretty awful lol

LOL That's why I have no resonator and no muffler! The resonator rusted completely and the flex pipe was killing the cross frame. The muffler, I noticed it was touching the bottom of my bumper. I went to see why, kicked it and found out it's just hanging there by the two rubber hangers. Luckily, exhaust doesn't leak into the cabin.
