Gen6 Coupe Steering Wheel & others

Hey guys,

I got the 4 door base model sedan. and i don't really like the steering wheel. in my opinion i think it is too big for the car and really ugly. Would the sportier looking steering wheel from the coupe fit, and would it be any smaller. I think an inch smaller would be perfect. Also, I want to install the seats out of a coupe into my car as well, as they also look alot more comfortable. are these parts compatabile since they are essentially the same car? And did any of the upgrade model corollas come with intermittent wipers? Mine only has mist, slow and fast. And when it only sprinkles, sometimes the slow speed is still to fast and it gets hella annoying pushing the switch to the mist spot every minute and a half or so.

the coupe steering wheel is also really big, I don't like it.

the SR5 seats are the same as sedan seats I think, you'll want GT-S seats.

the Corolla LE sedan had intermittent wipers, you can steal the switch out of that.

I have both and the steering wheels seem to be the same size. The coupe only has a sportier LOOKING wheel.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying here, but the wiper linkage only has one gear ratio, the speed is adjusted by varying the motor voltage.

The coupe/ GTS steering wheel is the same diameter as the sedan's. It will fit with no problem and give the same basic driving position, as the "dish" of the coupe wheel is the same as that of the sedan.

Another wheel that will fit with no problem is that from the 89 - 90 Celicas. I have one from an 89 Celica on my AE92 and I like it just fine. It looks for very similar to the Corolla GTS wheel. It is not any smaller diameter than the stock Corolla wheel, though.

If you want a smaller diameter wheel, you will probably have to get an aftermarket one. The stock wheel diameter is about 15" (about 380 mm). Most of the aftermarket sports wheels are available at about 350 mm...with some at 320 mm.
