Removing Cruise Control!

So I'm in the process of doing a couple small things to just get clutter out of the engine bay, stuff I dont need. My car didnt come with AC luckily, so dont have to worry about that. But I just want to know all what it would take to remove my Cruise Control! I'm very mechanically inclined, just curious if there's anything special I should know about first?

After that, or before, I'm going to remove my washer fluid jug and all of that mess as well being it doesn't work worth of crap anyway!

Any advice/comments is appreciated, thanks.

I wonder if that cruise control stuff would fit in my All-Trac wagon?

Since I don't have the setup in my wagon, just going by my del Sol which does have CC, I believe there should be a box in the engine bay as well as a controller or computer of some kind under the dash. And of course switches.

Hmmm. I'm mostly concerned about throttle linkage, if it messes that up at all? I haven't really taken a look yet to figure anything out, just taking the easy way by asking first haha.

The cruise control works just fine, so if it comes down to it, maybe i'll sell it once it's all off. :-p

I did it a while ago, and I don't remember much but you can retain the original throttle cable, the cruise control unit uses a separate cable. Getting the bracket off from under the dash was a bitch, I did it without removing any panels and I'm 6'5".

The main thing is you don't need a new throttle cable like you would for some cars, If I remembered the whole ordeal I could give you a couple of tips but it's been a while and the main thing is the one bracket near the pedal pivot is a bitch. Good luck.
