Talking 5afe
Hey gang, I just inherited a 5AFE, it looks just like a 4AFE but its a 1500 Japan motor, what years of Corolla and what do I have to watch out for in order to put it into a good car?

the 5afe will work in any car that has a 4afe..... there might be some differences here or there but if you have a complete motor it shouldn't be a problem.

that being said, I wouldn't run the 5a.... it only has a number higher than the 4a because there were already 1-4... the 5a isn't better than the 4a....

I've got a 5AFE in my 1993 Corolla. It can bolt straight in place of the a 4AFE and uses the same ECU etc.
