My new/old 91 corolla le

I have a few questions, my grandma has slowly gotten older over the years and my grandpa gave me her 1991 toyota corolla le, 4dr. i looked up the vin on google and this is what it tells me.

Year/Make/Model:1991 TOYOTA COROLLA LEBody Style:SEDAN 4 DREngine Type:1.6L L4 FIManufactured In:JAPAN

alright so with that settled, is it different because it was made is japan? or like all of them was it made in jjapan? its the reg, left side drive etc. but i keep looking at pictures and i cant find one person with the same interior as me, or anything. this is my first toyota by the way and im just looking for pictures to help, now i am into the tuning area, no i have 2 kids and a wife i can not afford a turbo and i will not turbo this car, it does have an oil leak. but can i find simple NA upgrades without spending a fortune and will help me with a little power ((its an auto)) and no i will not be racing i just like a fun drive.... i also noticed that in the vin it says AE97 is that my chassis code? if so i still have yet to see that on post.

please let me know some specs on my car, i believe i have the first gen 4afe motor and it is not an al-trac or 4wd whatever, i wish! but its not, and non turbo, nothing.

The LE is like the upgraded version (AE97, yours), not the base model

Most of these are made in Japan (JT2 vin), but they were also produced in Canada (1NX vin) and in America (2T1 vin).
