I am not knocking on anybody, but I am amazed that so many guys on here work on their Corollas and do not have the genuine Toyota Workshop manual. It has all the information you need from replacing spark plugs, to total engine rebuild, from replacing bulbs, to replacing ball joints.
I highly recommend getting it, if for nothing but the diagrams, I believe it is absolutely worth every penny.
The manual for the '92 Corolla, which I think will cover all the 4A-FE models engine wize, (the trim and body stuff may differ from year to year), costs $59.95 from Books4cars.com.
The one for the 1990 costs more, $69.95, I don't know why. Maybe because it includes the GT-S.
The Haynes manual is an acceptable substitute for about $20.00, but for me, the extra cost of the Toyota manual is absolutely worth it. The lay out of the Toyota book is easier to follow.
I have rebuilt the transmission on a V6 Camry, with just the Toyota book, and when I was done, the tranny worked!
The link below will take you Books 4 Cars. Look for the ones that say "By Toyota"

Thanks for the link, I'm sure it will help a lot of people on here if they pick it up.
I would be buying one soon myself, but I have access to Snap-On's Shop Key at school and at my former job anytime I want to stop by.
Now all I need to do is acquire the passwords for the accounts and I could have unlimited access to Snap-On's car manuals, for every car, ever made, at home on my computer! :P

Yeah I have mitchell on demand on a seperate hard drive but it usually sucks, just use it when woking on other than toyota cars that I have not worked on before, I also have the hard cover mitchell books for late 80's early 90's toyota cars this is much better than the computer program. If that book is genuine toyota I might grab it, but I really need a jap version translated so I can rebuild the E58 and use E51 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear set in it.

Years ago i got my FSM by going to techinfo.toyota.com and paying a days worth of access. I view the section and then save it as PDF. Back then the day's worth of access was $10. It took a little effort but definitely worth it. I ended up getting 3 or 4 manuals that day LOL.

Man if only I could get some JDM books translated.... omfg there would be sooooo many books. Thats why I've started to try and learn Japanese.
Mitchell On Demand isn't very good, thats why most places I know of switched to ShopKey.
Anyone know much about all of the Option books?

The web site says you might get a used book which I did. It appears to be a good book, but full price for used is a bit much.
Used!!??
Wow, I never saw that part.
I agree. Full price for a used book is not right.
Every one of the 5 books I have gotten from them was new.
ToyzUnlimited has a bunch of used books for about $35-40, but I think I got their last AE92 book.
E-mail them and see what they can get you.

I did send an e-mail and got an immediate $20 credit. Excellent public relations.

I bought my 1988½ All-Trac repair manuals (main + electrical) from Toyota a few months ago, for what I presume to be full price ($80 or so total, shipping was a killer). At least they were brand new, still wrapped in plastic. But, even having those as a reference, it's still good to be able to come to a place like this (or the All-Trac wagon forum) and ask for advice. I loved how easy the repair manual made replacing the clutch master cylinder look... had to figure out some stuff on my own, plus take advice from A-T wagon forum members.

Yeah, there will be times that the manual might not give enough information, but having it will definitely save you some possibly expensive mistakes, if you use it.
