they are just 4 long bolts that go all the way though the pump and into the pump bracket mounted to the engine. they're in a square pattern.

why?

all 4age's 16v's are the same (ae92, ae82, aw11).... I would assume the 4afe is the same, as well.

Did you find some missing? Somehow, one day last summer, I noticed 2 bolts were gone, one was loose and one was tight on. Don't know how, when, why, where, what, huh...

toyotaspeed said, 16V use the same bolts.

Vibration from the engine, use some threadlocker.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I've been out of town. Thanks for all the info. Turns out the mounting bolts were tight but the air conditioner mounting bracket broke and the pump pivoted forward, throwing the drive belt, breaking the pump's inlet/outlet metal tubes and cooking one of the rubber hoses on the exhaust manifold. It happened 200 miles from home so I just drove on without any power steering. It kinda sucked since it happened at the apex of a tight turn at 50-60mph on the twisty coastal hwy between WA and OR. The little GSi definitely handles different without power steering. You can still see the teeth marks in the driver's seat from my butt.
