A buddy of mine said this stuff works better than seafoam. LOL I've never even tried seafoam . Anyone ever try this stuff?

Never used it myself. If it's similar to Seafoam, then it will be a semi-effective cleaner. Seafoam is fun, but stupidly expensive for what it does.
Fuel systems rarely need the amount of cleaning that people think. But if you want to keep it clean, run your tank down most of the way and then dump in some mineral spirits (white spirit for you foreigners) and drive around until you're about to run out of fuel. It's a good solvent that is also compatible with your engine.
For cleaning the combustion chamber and intake, I use ATF. Yes, automatic transmission fluid. This is the fun part of Seafoaming a car where thick white smoke shoots all over the place. ATF does the exact same thing.
Finally, for cleaning the oil system and interior passages of the engine, I recommend adding a quart of ATF to your oil and driving for at least 500 miles. This certainly isn't meant to be a definitive statement on ATF in the oil, but here's how my head looked after running ATF through it (unfortunately I don't have prior pics to compare to):
There's nothing magical about Seafoam or any of these additives/cleaners. If you take a look at the MSDS sheets for them, you can pretty much recreate them for pennies on the dollar.
Beware of ANY additive that claims to boost fuel economy. They don't work.
Like Ghostyman said, a little ATF in your oil will work wonders.
Other than that, keep using good gas (TopTierGas) and your fuel system will be OK.
If your engine is venting a lot of oil into the intake, then you will get a carbon-like dirt buildup, which a spray carb/intake cleaner will remove.
I have nevet tried Seafoam myself, but several guys on the Tercel/Paseo forum swear by it.

hey guys. i use all the BG products personally and i also sell them in my shop. My dad is a firm believer in honesty, and if none of this stuff worked in his personal vehicles he would not sell them on his shelves. when using the injection/induction service it is amazing to watch all the carbon vanish from inside the throttle. you should try it. you will be amazed by your results.
Yea this stuff is pretty expensive also. I'll give it a shot anyways to see how well it works. Thanks for all the input. Is putting ATF fluid in your engine bad? And if not how much do you put in your intake manifold a quart or so?

Not bad at all. Just use a third of a quart or so. After it burns off, repeat as desired.
ATF will eat rubber seals and is just all around bad stuff. I would just use sea foam or something actually designed to clean an engine and is safe for the seals.

I could be off base, but I've personally seen engine seals from an RX-7 that have been soaked in ATF and they swell up like crazy. I assume the seals in a transmission are made of a different type of rubber.
it might be specific to rotary seals, but I think it's much more likely that automatic transmission have special seals to coop with ATF.
I would still recommend getting something that's actually designed to clean an engine.

Hey another question thats totaly kinda off topic. I removed my valve cover a few weeks ago to replace my seals and the underside of the cover looked like the fan vents on a kitchen stove . What is that?

Possibly the engine oil burning onto the valve cover, likely due to poor maintenance of a previous owner. I bought a longblock for my del Sol to keep it running while I decide what to do for a rebuild of my original engine... that longblock's valve cover was dark brown inside, whereas my original valve cover was just a sort of golden honey color.
Hey, regardless of what anybody else says, everybody has their own opinions. But at my shop (Ford Dealership) all of our Fluids are either Motorcraft or BG Products. ALL of our Fluid flushing machines and servicing machines are from BG Products. They make really good shit. I trust all their stuff and I've seen it work pretty well. Not to mention they back up their products real well! And one benefit at my shop, is in our 5-20 and 5-30 oil guns we use Synthetic Blend Motorcraft oil, and we have giant containers of MOA that inject directly into our oil. It's good shit!
And yeah, all of their products are professional, the people that work for them know what they're talking about, I even went to a training class that they hosted, and it was amazing the information you can learn about just fluids in your vehicle alone. So dont be afraid to give them a try, some of the stuff is a little expensive, but it's great!

I tried a bottle of "Ethos" (I think it was 2 Quarts), followed the instructions carefully, filled up at the same station, same pump, same direction, every time, and saw no improvement.
