Clutch Adjustment

My 91 wagon has started "catching" when I shift into any gear. It used to do it going into second, but it seems to have suddenly spread to all the gears. What's odd is that I just got it back from the shop yesterday for new struts and springs so I'm wondering if they inadvertantly bumped something. My first thought was synchros, but the clutch engages almost immediately when letting it out so I'm wondering if the clutch cable is too loose. Does anyone know if the clutch cable is adjustable on these cars? Thanks.

FYI, since I just dropped almost a grand on springs and struts if someone tells me I need a new tranny, be prepared to see a grown man cry.

There is no clutch cable on these cars, the clutch is hydraulic and self adjusting, however, there is an adjustment bolt that you can screw in and out to adjust how much the pedal pushes on the clutch master cylinder piston, but I'd check if theres no oil in the gearbox first... having little oil does this also.

gearbox? is that accessible in the front engine compartment? know of a thread that will list the steps? This is for a friend (Paul, as you may have guessed) and I don't own a toyota. I'm thinking about adjusting the pin or rod - I have a thread showing me that, but I know nothing about the gearbox. thx

It should be.. but since its an 03, I've never worked on one, I doubt its that much different to an AE92, but cant tell exact information, maybe you should try the 03 forum.
