Strange problem...

Hello everyone, I wonder if any of you might have a clue what's going on here. I have a 92 DX, and my Brake and Charge warning lights are on. Whatever is causing it is intermittent, as it occasionally turns off. They both come back on within about 30 minutes, and they both turn on/ off at the same time. I don't think it's a short, I think it's the computer trying to report a problem. I think this because when the lights are on, the cruise is disconnected, as if there really is a brake issue.
I have replaced the master cylinder and the battery, since both were bad. This hasn't fixed the problem.
The most confusing thing here is that they are linked together, almost as if the computer is saying "If it's brake, the brake light comes on. If it's the charging system, the charge light comes on. If it's both, then ____ is broken" But I don't know what to fill in the blank.

Any clues are appreciated.

My Tercel did that, it turned out to be the alternator. Check it see see if it is sending out current, plus it wouldn't hurt to clean the battery terminals or any crud or corrosion, if you take short trips it tends to build up fast, clean those up and apply a bit a Vaseline to keep it from coming back. You can also check your grounds from the battery and alternator just in case rust has weakened the ground.
