Timin Belt Kit

I still have my original Timing Belt so I am replacing it next week. So far I am going to get a Timing Belt component set (belt/tensioner). New waterpump and gasket. A new engine mount by the radiator. 1991 4AFE

-Is there any special tools I need, like to remove the crank pully?
-Any kits that you recommenced/dont recommend? I am trying to buy bulk from RockAuto.com

Yes you need special tools. You'll probably need an engine lift or something that will raise the engine enough so that you can have better access to the covers. Might as well get your seals, (oil, crankshaft, camshaft) since you'll be replacing the belt.

Well I can just put the engine on a jack with some wood. I was talking more about specialized tools like for my 3.7L Tacoma I needed to buy a special tensioner pusher to push the tensioner back during re-installation of the belt.

I did that same job recentally I got lucky my crank pully came off with my bare hands.. Be sure to get cam seal, crank seal, and a new o ring for the dipstick tube.. I also did the thermostat on the other end of the engine where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine..When you get down to the water pump you will notice the water pump is a 2 piece, My water pump basically exploded and gouged the small plate that the water pump is mounted to forcing me to buy a Toyota water pump because they sell both pices as an assembally..Good luck
