rattling noise under load

Hi!

I am the owner of a corolla ae92 with the 4a-f engine.
over the past few weeks the car has started to make a rattling noise when the car is under load.. It sounds like something has become loose inside the engine, like i bolt or a nut or something like that.. The rattling raises with the rpm. If i try to raise the rpm with the car out of gear the rattling is pretty much imposible to hear.
The rattling gets worse when the engine gets warmed up

Has anyone had the same problem or might know what it could be?

Sorry for my bad english, im from denmark.

Most of the rattles I've seen like this deal with the exhaust. Either from a heat shield or a rusted out section. My corolla had so many exhaust issues so I'd get an odd rattle in the exhaust every 3 months. My celica has one as well, I've just yet to trace it down.

Description sounds like pinging. Check to be sure timing is set to spec. If you have a vac advance on distributor make sure vac lines don't have a leak. Can also try going up one grade in gasoline over the 87 octane. As engine gets more mileage carbon buidup can also be a factor.
