Two orphan vacuum lines, one broken sensor...?

Hey all! Excellent forum.

I bought a '91 wagon with "109K miles" recently for $900, amazed at the low miles. Then, the odo rolled over to what should have said 110K miles, and the ten thousands wheel didn't fully click over. SO..... who knows how many miles are on this thing? It looks like a 200K+ mile car, honestly. Which makes me grumpy. I should have been more careful.

But here's my specific problem. There's two orphan vacuum lines and a sensor they are supposed to hook to. I wonder what the sensor is, and which sensor line goes to the intake, and which goes to what looks like a charcoal canister.

I hope these pictures are clear enough. It's on the transmission side of the engine, where some coolant hoses go in to the head.

Thanks in advance!
