Brake light and battery light

Hey guys just remember that if you pull the alt out and have it tested and it test good then look at the post that comes off thesside of the alt it is possible that the connector on the end of the wire might be bad

have a great day!

Would this be the same case with an 1989 22r pick up?

I would say yes.

Charge and brake light on together usually means your alternator is dead.

On cars as old as the 6th gen, its important to check for broken wires. I had a "bad" alternator that tested good. The problem was that one of the 3 wires in the 3 wire connector to the alternator was broken very near the connector. I had to look very closely to see this. The break was so close to the connector that I had to cut off the whole connector and solder on a connector from a junk harness that I had.
