AE92 Lowering Springs

I am new to the corolla world, I am very used to VW's which you can slam 3 inches and not scrape.. I wanted to take my 4 door sedan and lower it about 2 - 3 inches.. is that possible without losing parts and having clearance for most driveways?
If so, anyone know of any good places for springs?

IDont think I have seen ae92 springs that give a 3 inch drop. They probably put there , just never seen it. You gonna have a lot of clearance issues with a 3 inch drop especially over speed bumps , but I guess you might have figured that out by now.

never seen any, you need coilovers after 2" on these cars... you're scraping anywhere after 1.5inches, 2" you start having problems getting around on tall parking lot entrances.

There are 2" drop springs for the 93-97 models. The fronts will fit your stock shocks, and the rear would need the top hat from a 93-97 model.

None of the drop springs have an even drop. The corolla has a rake to it from the factory and lowering it amplifies this.

I had some '93 Corolla lowering springs sent to me in error, and they wouldn't fit the lower spring seat on the front struts of '92 Corolla. They were just a bit too wide and sat part way up on the lip of the seat, for about 1/3 of the circumference.

I have used fully adjustable coil-overs on my car, and I wouldn't reccommend more than 1.5" drop unless you are using very stiff racing springs, as carrying passengers will be impossible, and speed bumps will require a diagonal approach.

The Eibach lowering springs that I have on now give a 1.3" front and 1.5" rear drop, I think.

Weird they changed their website up a little bit, but last time I checked Apex had springs for the AE92 for $150. I'm sure if you call them they'll tell you.

front:
ae101 shocks, spring and tophat

rear:
ae101 shocks, springs, ae92 tophat

you can use ae101 springs on ae92 shocks on the rear but you will have to open up the base that holds the springs to use ae101 springs on ae92 shocks since the bottom diameter of ae101 springs is wider than the bottom diameter of ae92 springs
I pm'd a member about his suspension set up, and he replied with the above. I would go with ae101 suspension if you were looking for a 2" drop on springs.
