1989 corrolla all trac no fire. please help

Ive read a few posts and got no real answer. Installed brand new distributor and I still have no fire. new cap and rotor. dont have a book where else can i look for no fire? what wire is 12v to dist? 205lbs each cylinder on compression check, so belt is good. 1.6 motor. thanks

ignitor? Can't remember if the 4AFE's have one... if they do check it.

Is your fuel pump supplying fuel, could be a dead pump as well.

It has no spark. Isnt the ignitor and the pickup coil the same thing? Everything in the distributor is new. I think it could be the ecm. Shouldnt the check engine light come on for a brief second when the key is turned over? cause mine dont.

There is a fuse the power goes through the check engine light to the ecm if that fuse is no good the engine light will not come on and the ecm will be missing a power supply it is a 7.5amp fuse under the driver left foot in fuse block give that a try

The ignitor/ coil pack is built in with the distributor.

Did you verify whether bulb for check engine light in cluster is burnt out? Might be a long shot but if that bulb completes a circuit for powering up ECU it could be the culprit.

Yes I checked there is a 7.5 amp fuse by the driver foot kick panel it is good and the engine light bulb dose come on.
