Can I make my own oil relocation kit?

has it beed done before? and what would i need to do it?

i have a 1990 GT-S, and I'm not too fond
of the idea of having my oil filter right next
to my headers.

Im getting my engine rebuilt right now
and so when i get it back i plan on changing
the oil every 3k miles, and i want to make it easier on myself

If you're only worried about getting to it during oil changes, It's really not that hard. Get it from underneath, it's pretty easy.

You do know that engine oil is extremely hot at normal running temperatures too, right?

It's not going to affect anything for it being there. Never heard a single problem relating to such.

As for accessibility, it's VERY accessible through the bottom. You have to go down there to drain the oil anyways, the filter only sits less than an arm length away.

They do sell oil filter relocator kits, but it may be hard to find.

AE92

nothings perfect to be honest so what if it's near your headers the oil filter can handle it and remember when your moving, your headers are getting cold air so its not going to make a difference to your oil filter? and your still getting under your car to drop the oil out so it's not that far to twist the oil filter and drop that out aswell, my headers haven't melted or damaged my oil filter so im not worried bout it.
