Desperate to locate!

I have an 89 Toyota Corolla GTS. The power windows are no longer working. I had a Master mechanic spend his afternoon with me and my car and he determined that it is the window switch.

1. Tested continunity on all wiring going to the windows.
2. Verified that wires in the door harness were in good condition ( no cuts/breaks)
3. Motor and regulators DO work.
4. At one time we were able to get window down and up. But switch to go up is sporatic.
5. He took apart switch and cleaned all contacts.

Windows go down, not up...I need the switch located on the inside of the door. I have a pic of it but TN will not allow me to attach. If anyone can help me, I can send pic through e-mail.

Thank you!

Yes, you can post pics but have to first put the photos into somewhere like the gallery on this forum or photobucket... then the fancy code is placed in your post for the photo to show up.

Try going to rockauto.com to find a switch or ebay... a little surfing can go a long way.

If you are real careful, you can open those switches and clean the contacts, if they are not completely burnt away.
I just did mine. My passenger side window was very intermittent with the driver's door control. Now it works great.

I had a similar problem when I got mine. The contacts were just worn and I cleaned them and it still only half worked, I messed with it over and over again trying to get it to work but never could. I finally said screw it and found one at the junkyard and replaced it and its been working perfect since!

Are you looking for the switch itself or the "window relay" that is in the door as well?

You can't ATTACH pictures, you can post the links to your pics on a hosting site.

Buy a new switch, they're still available from the dealer.
