92 Corolla DX Transmission ?

I was driving along, heard a clank noise for a second or two and then my front wheels locked up and I skidded for 15-20'. I put the car in neutral and couldn't move. I put it in reverse and with a lot of gas I could get it to move backwards. Put it in drive and with a lot of gas I got it to move forward to the side of the road. Now it only moves with a lot of gas and it feels like it is binding up. Does this sound like the transmission or something else?

It does sounds like it could be your transmission, it happend to me two years ago except all my sounds lasted for like almost half a year before it actually gave out. My diff gear grounded out all the shims, were able to move and jam up at the teeths. Not even my friends truck was able to force push the car from the rear.

Make sure, first, it's not your calipers. I had that on some customers cars. A car usually have two bolts mounting the calipers. If the top one somehow gets out and goes away, when you step on your brakes, the caliper swings out of placement and jams the wheels. With force, it can move (depending on what it could be jamming up with, like a wheel spoke or something)
