Question E52 to E58 in trueno

I managed to score a Ae92 JDM trueno (yippy for uniqueness)

among many of its issues, its 3rd gear syncro is shagged and 2nd is on its way out, im gonna change the oil to some thinner jizz tomorrow with a bit of luck, but at the end of the day, its going to need a rebuild/new box.

considering i plan to drive the car close to daily, im going to need to swap my trans, as i dont have the time to rebuild one and not have a car.

question is, as (im assuming) an E52 trans is quite rare (unless they all bolt up to a 4agze), does a E52 and E58 (much more common) have the same mounting points? (chassis wise)

i know they both come on 4agze engines (ie. AE92/ AE101 truenos), what i dont know is if the E58 from a AE101 squeeze in and line up to the original mounting points of a AE92.

if anyone knows about the inter-change-ability of these boxes, i would sure like some info!! (im hopeing there like the engines in the way that all A series have the same mounts etc. etc.)

Peace Peeps.

anyways, every 4A-GZE is mated with an E transmission, because the C-Series could not take the power that come with the 4A-GZE, and since are both made for the 4A, they use the same mounting points

the only problems could be the shifting cable, since normally e58 are made for the MR2, but theres always a way to adapt it

yeah its a trueno GT-Z. i know the E58 came out in the AE101's, and possibly the late AE92 truenos.

the tranny looks soo diff compared to the E52's thus my asking. in theory it will fit forsure, but i REALLY wanna be positive before i buy a trans that could end up being a massive paperweight.

E58 Tranny will mate up with the GZE and will work in the AE92.

The 4A-GZE I have lying around uses a E58 aswell and that came out of a AE92.
