starter motor not working when cold?

4agze starter motor doesnt want to turn over when its cold (as in 15 degrees Celsius)

turn key to start, it goes click, if i hold it there for 10 sec it might fire up, otherwise nothing.

after driving it starts instaintly, same if its 20+ outside. but in the morning, its got nothing!

(im assuming its not because the battery has lost all its CCA over night and gains it in the 10min drive to work).

is there some sort of thermal safety or something? or do i jsut need to bash the F@^* out of it?

Replace the two copper contacts in the starter solenoid.
