I've got a 4A-FE in my All-Trac. Been going through and doing some much needed maintenance, including replacement of the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals. Both which were hard as rock and had oil all over them (meaning they're kind of useless, lol). Anyways I decided to also replace the valve cover grommets (that go under the three nuts), picking them up at the auto parts store. This is the part:

FEL-PRO Part # ES72123

But the set includes 4 grommets -- there are only 3 as far as I know. And if I didn't know any better, I'd say they were different than the ones currently holding down my VC. Well, other than the fact they're new & rubbery and not solid as a rock. Did I get the wrong part? Why are there 4 in the pack instead of 3?

I've considered ordering them from Toyota as I found the right part number... but I'm sure the shipping from someone like Sparks Toyota is going to be killer just for a literal handful of items.

Could be a miscount on behalf of a packager.

All the packs I've seen had 4 instead of the required 3. I assumed it was just in case you lost or over torqued one

Thanks Rob. It just seems odd that they would include an extra with this set, when the set I've gotten (also from Fel-Pro) for my del Sol's VC were just enough, no extras.
