Thermostat gauge reading really low

Hey gents, as usual and as per other threads, the 90 GTS ae92 takes a while to warm up. When mine is warm the thermo guage reads between hot and cold, and the fan also works, the rpms go down to around 875.

PROBLEM? when im driving, the temp goes near cold very quickly? is that normal for all corolla's? has anyone else had that problem? Why does it cool down so quickly?

Thanks for your insight...

More than likely the thermostat at fault. The only other cause would be that your radiator fan is operating continuously, but that would be easy to spot.
