I have a 89 Corolla that run great when it is cold but after
it warms up when you press on accelerator it sounds like
it is starving for gas. If you press to the floor it seems
to start to catch up with itself.

Also it does not appear to do this when it is in park reving
the engine. It seems to do this when driving an engine is
under a load.

Possibly the choke circuit is stuck open.
Check the plugs, if they are black and powdery sooty
the culprit has been found.

Also check your fuel filter. It may be on the choke circuit at start and starves for fuel when hot.
