I haven't driven with it yet because I'm still waiting on new filters for my velocity stacks (one of them almost got eaten by my engine ). I was just wondering if anyone else has one and what they thought.
I have one on my RX-7 and definitely noticed a difference, but it's suspension is different and the bar isn't even mounted in the same place

You can probably use metal screens to reinforce the foam filters you have so they're least likely to collapse from vacuum and become a bad fuel additive...

I've always wondered about the bars myself...
the new ones I got are the ones T3 is selling and they're dual element so they have a finer filter further in. they also don't have a big spring in them like my old ones did which I think is why they failed. the spring was putting too much pressure on the filters.
My friend has been using the T3 ones for a while now and hasn't had any problems, so we'll see.
I'll let you know how much if a difference the bar makes.

That's the Silvertop gearbox right?
What is that tube looped around on the bottom of it?

I imagine that's a transmission cooler of some sort. my rx-7 has a power steering cooler just like that (just a pipe that cools the fluid by the time it gets back to the rack)

That's what I suspected. The E-51 is the LSD unit right?

I have the same bar installed in my sedan as well but as you know have yet to try it out.
And those lines coming from the trans are connected to the internal oil pump E series transmissions got because of the all-trac celica I believe which has an actual cooler in place of the looped line. My ae101 E58 has the lines as well which, inside, run on top of first and second gear synchros, later model camry and mr2(mayby) trans have the oil pump as well but toyota added lines to cool 3rd gear as well which can be swapped over to the earlier boxes.

WTB: Rear TRD sway bar for ae92
So I drove my corolla around today after replacing the filters with the new lower arm bar. And it feels really good. I'm not sure how good because I've been driving my stock suspensioned Subaru around so most things will feel better than that...
I'll have to test it out at the auto-x this weekend. I'm interested to see the difference when I have 255 wide hoosiers on the car..

i had a jic for my old setup im considering the ultra racing one. after taking my crossmember out though im starting to wonder if these bars do anything on our cars. i would imagine it would do somthing on a car whose control arms bolt stright to the chassis like the fx-16. the ae92 has a crossmember the suspension componets bolts to then finally to the unibody.

yeah, but the crossmember they bolt to is a U shape. the bar connects the 2 tips of the U and boxes it off. I definitely think it improved turn in and the over all feel. The site that I got the picture from (ae92gts.com) said it helped a lot with the torque steer on his GZE sedan too.
