Idle/Fuel Problems

Hey guys its been a while since I've posted on here, I still read up alot. My AE92 Sedan has been at home while I've been in school at Charlotte and my parents drive it. My mom drove it this morning and told me the car cut off on her when she accidentally revved it in park. I drove the car around and noticed hesitation/lack of power when under heavy loads, going up hills, etc. Parts that I know are new on the car are your typical plugs, wires, cap, rotor, exh manifold, 02 Sensor, water pump, t-belt, alt belt, and air filter. I've ruled out the thermostat. I've done some reading and I keep getting suggestions from people to try the cat. Anything else I should check? The car idles really low and gets about as much gas mileage as my truck does 18mpg.

If the thermostat hasn't been changed recently do that too. A bad one could be keep engine in an enriched cold start mode longer.
