im goin with kyb gr2's and eibach 1.6" springs, i think that will give it a nice low stance but wont know till i get em, the lowest ive seen in springs so far is 1.75" there could be lower but i havent seen em, im sure someone will chime in on here and let ya know something tho

with gr2s I'd go 1" prokit as the maximum. I had stock replacement struts on my old ae92 and with b+gs it wasn't enough to handle the spring. Granted it probably blew what was left to those replacement struts but the ride was rough. I know eage had the same combo and it blew his gr2s within a few months. The only real options for a larger drop like that are going with konis or tokicos

i have eibachs atm they are fairly new still. i would not count them as low. the car seems almost stock height. this is probabally because they have not broken in yet. at this point the only way i probabally would of been able to tell is a before and after picture of the car lol. as far as lowing springs ive seen apex springs lower the ae92 quite a bit. of course i have never owned them but from pictures and seeing local drivers that use them they do lower alot more then the eibachs. gr-2 are ok, i have gr-2 and h&r on my dd paseo and i beat the crap out of the car cornering and bump wise (even autocrossed it) and they are holding up still after 7 months. im sure they will go out soon, but for shocks that are not valved for a stiffer spring they have been doing just fine.

shocks that are not ment for lowered cars or stiffer springs will bounch more. its not so much the compression of the spring that messes up shocks but the rebounding of it. if this is a budget setup it will work and last 1yr - 2yr (of course i don't know how you drive or how the streets are where you live), but if you can afford it i'd do koni yellows for shocks it will handle better then with the gr-2's and last much much longer.

I have APEX struts with OEM struts on my current car, my old car's setup was APEX struts with KYB GR2s... both setups have never gave me any problems other than bottoming out on big potholes, never blew any of them. The GR2 setup is actually about 8yrs old now and still going as far as I know.

I read over on the st162 forums about how they made the rear struts accept a cartridge effectively allowing them to run agx all the way around.

they basically weld the servicable strut on to the rear mount and use the stock strut as a reference for stock mounting height. Only thing is that the front cartridge sticks out of the strut a bit.

Here is the thread. The guy was asking about koni cartridges, but their rear strut mod is shown.

the front seems to be a lot harder on GR-2s that the rear due to the weight of the engine. A lot of poeple have been fine lowering their car a lot with AGXs in the front and GR-2s in the rear.

I would not suggest B+Gs. APEXes are much better and cheaper. eibachs are also good, but won't lower the car as much.

I have Eibach Pro lowering springs on my GT-S with AGXs on the front and GR2s on the back.
With any lowering, I would suggest nothing less than GR2s. If you can afford anything better, then that is the way to go, but GR2s would be my minimum.
