Recovery Process from Fender Bender

May 2nd was the first accident I was ever involved in involving other cars. First was, I slid into a damn curb a year prior at a rainy 4am and bent the lf wheel and killed the tire.

So far, the rear bumper bar is crust and crushed to hell. Don't seem to be other damages (besides the front bumper bar bent but not as bad, rear is worse).

Thanks to ASG14 going to FL recently...

The top one is the one I got from Crazy Rays in Jessup, MD. The bottom, ASG14 got from Florida. Notice the rust difference. From this, I conclude....

I'll post new pictures of the process. I need to repaint the white bumper which is what I benefited from the MD junkyard. It's a USDM paintable bumper, not the black rubber melted tires bumper. Guess I can make a DIY for minor bumper repair?

I think he was going 10mph, "guy who hit me". I'll take pics of the damages in greater depth when I remove the bumpers.

Nice haha. Good to see you got it fixed at least. Your old bumper wasn't looking to shabby anymore anyway haha. Nice geological rust line map. But I dont think you would call this a Fender Bender considering, no fenders were hurt in the crash haha. More like a Rearender. :p

At the moment of impact, it sounded like a freakin' 18 wheeler going through a shopping mall.

I think the rust helped absorb/ kill the force of impact. Nothing more than the bumper bar was damaged. The donor slid in perfectly.

I may take the bumper back off at some point again to do some rust work. The unbeneficial rust I found after taking the wrecked bumper off.

DING! I honestly haven't got much time to work with the silvertop. when I do, it's in Columbia but I live in Landover, 20-30 minute drive. I'm making a place for it at my house so I can just wake up to it next to me rather than 20 miles+ away.
