AE92 CV joints

how much would a typical cv joint rebuild would cost about for left and right? i just want to know so i know im not getting ripped off.

I would just buy new axles... it's easier and you don't have to deal with all the grease and goo.

they have to drain the trans and put new oil in it too. i'm not sure how many hours it's supposed to take, but I would say no more than 3, so $300-400?

I'm really not sure though, I don't usually go to mechanics...

a new axle should only be about $50

That sounds like a fair price. Each axle shaft is about $65, and a four wheel alignment usually costs about $100, maybe $120.
