Australia AE92 SECA/Liftback FWD to AWD?

is this possible? and if so what do i need to do it? if it's possible i want to do the conversion then look at dropping a 7A-FE/GE converted engine in here. rally spec shocks and roll cage to go in as well.

Everything that applies to all the other non-AWD models to AWD conversions apply to your car aswell.

If you use the search function on this forum. You'll get all your answers

you might as well just buy an AWD car parts and swap everything you need from it... because there's way too much.

enough of the smart arse comments about doing a search. new users and casual users don't know all the tricks you guys know to do a search. the holier than thou attitude to a question is wrong. i have done a search and found nothing that was helpful in any way. i want to know if i buy the ALLtrac wagon as sold here in aus, whether i can take the allwheel drive unit out of it and put it in my SECA. if you don't know what cars i'm talking about, do a search.

You dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to use the search function, its really not that hard.

For starters, sorry you took our comments as being 'holier than thou' or whatever. But please understand that the regular visitors of this site do get a bit bored when people ask the same question over and over again because they are to lasy to use the search option

But since you took the effort of doing a search and found nothing, I'll try to answer your question.

I do know the cars you are talking about and yes, it can be done, but...
You'll have to be ready for a whole lot of (custom) work and spend a lot more money and time than you are thinking of right now

It is not just swapping the gearbox and rear suspension over. Your Seca hasn't got the room under the car to accomodate the gearbox, axles, rear diff etc, etc.
To get everything to fit, you would have to weld a great deal of the floorpan from the 4WD wagon into the Seca! That alone is not an easy task.
The fueltank and everything that goes with it (fuellines etc) has to be swapped, moved, or altered to make room for the axle that runs underneath the car from front to back.
The rear suspension has to be modded to take the rear diff etc.

That is just some of the modifications that have to be done to be able to swap everything over

To get an impression of the work. Here are some Germans who did the 4WD swap to their AE92 Hatchback (using a Celica GT-4 as donor car, but the work remains the same).
