hi.. i owned ae92 sedan 4A-F.. my engine take a long time to warm up.. it is because the fan engine always running make the engine stay cool all the time.. where can i find the temperature sensor? for last few weeks it works fine, the fan run only when the engine get hot and start to shut down when its on idle temperature.. but now it always ON so i think it might be the sensor.. so where can i find it in the engine bay? help please..

you should replace your thermostat. the engine should warm up fine even with the fan running if the thermostat is working correctly.

the fan temperature sensor is on the thermostat housing near the thermostat,

+1 on replacing the thermostat. As for the constant running fan, replace the thermo switch and/or check the fan relay in the engine bay.

On the 4AF, the thermostat/ sensor is located just below to the right of the distributor on the driver side. You'll notice the coolant hose there.

Typical warm up for me is about 1 to 2 minutes at idle before the needle starts moving.

thanks for the quick feedback.. yeah i think i should change the thermostat.. mines take almost 10 minute to move the needle just on the letter C(cold) then it start to move up to the center when im running the car..

Thermostat is stuck open, meaning the coolant flows freely and makes the fan run all the time... when the Thermostat works fine, it stays closed until it's open temp is reached, then it pops open allowing the coolant to flow and cool the motor down.

Replace the Thermostat already.

should i flush the coolant away and refill with a new one? maybe the coolant live for decades already..

if you don't know how old it is and it doesn't look green anymore then yeah, might as well.

i've changed my thermostat already and it works fine now, thanks.. only the fan still running even cold, i think i should change the temperature sensor...
