Best Struts?

Hey, this is my first post on this forum. I recently sold my lifted jeep grand cherokee for a 1992 toyota corolla dx. The struts are starting to go out and i was wondering what were the best bang for the buck struts? Thank you in advance

what are you looking for? are you planning on lowering it?

the best ones period are koni yellows they're about $150-200 per strut though. but if you're lowering it I wouldn't go with anything else.

if not, KYB GR-2s are nice and cheap and decent and have a lifetime warranty

Just for the record. The KONI's have a lifetime warranty aswell If you were the original buyer off course

yes, I know, but I guess the way I typed it could have made it seem like they didn't :-P

also of note: the GR-2s warranty is void if you lower the car on them. not sure about the konis, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was also the case

+1 on the KYB GR-2s.
In my opinion, if you are keeping your stock springs, those are the best value-for-money.

They're great even if you lower the car... I had GR2s plus APEX springs and never had problems.

Thanks guys, well today i went around trying to get quotes. i would take each shop about 30 minutes just to give me a quote. they were quoting me almost 1k with parts, labor, and the alignment. that seems really high to me.

There are spring/shock combos on ebay with the gr2's as well. The springs they're coupled with are 1.3 inch to 1.6 inch drop.

I've read here and there that the gr2's are rated for a 1.5 inch drop.
