yeah, it's possible, I have one in my ex-4AF corolla. I'm not sure how smog testing in California would work though...

you'll need to ditch the power steering or get power steering lines and reservoir from a GT-S model

talk to SCT about the manual swap, he recently did one on his car.

aight thanx for the info but i got a couple of questions

1. why would i need to swap or take out power steering ?
2. What changes for smog when the swap is done .. ?
3. so dropping a std transmission is possible what would have to be done any cutting or welding .. ?

1. the power steering pump is on the oposite side of the block on 4AGEs and 4AFEs so you need to replace the lines with the GT-S ones that go to the other side of the block. the 4AGE also has an remote reservoir for the fluid.

2. the engine is different. you might be fine you might not, I don't know, I don't live in cali. I have historic plates on my corolla so I don't have to go through smog at all.

3. Here is a thread about the swap:

PM SCT if you have any more questions.
