Installed DDM-Tuning/Apexcone HID 9004's into my 1992 Sedan
The install was very easy, and yes, I used a relay wiring harness that I made myself. Power is directly from the battery and the relay controls connection to ground.
The best thing about the kit is that it uses a 9004 base adapter to control the relays, which means that I can easily revert back to stock if necessary. I bought the 4800K kit, which is, for all practical purposes, white light. It's almost even bluish when viewed under Sodium Vapor lamps or direct sunlight.
Oh, and by the way - before you start harping at me about blinding oncoming traffic - this particular kit/bulb has - no kidding - the exact same light pattern as the stock halogens. Although I haven't been driving on the lights long, nobody has given me the 'flash' telling me the lights are too bright.
I'll post up some pics and report any anomalies. Otherwise, the difference between these lights and the stock halogens is enormous. Visibility in complete darkness and unlit roads is 10x better than before. In bright sunlight, the car's headlights look like Audi LED driving lights - completely unmissable.
