gas out of #1 exhaust

89 4 door 4a-c and runs real rough, and on 3. I started digging and found that unburnt gas was coming out and pooling at exhaust port 1.all others fired right, but this one wont.compression is good.the plugs and wires sparked too.its getting gas obviously. I'm at a loss. any help? Thank you in advance.

288,xxx miles. maybe valve guides in #1 are shot more than the others? some smoke, but not too much. not bad for the miles on her.

I think the auxillary accellerator pump vacuum tube goes to #1 intake port. If the diaphram in the AAP goes bad, you will get raw gas into #1 that will cause missfire and poor fuel economy.
Check that vacuum line and see if gas comes out of it. If it does, the diaphram on the carb is bad.
