Gen6 what ive just noticed .!

i just read the sticker on the driver side door .! it said that my car was made 01/91 no.250

so i figure i have i of the first ever made that year .!!! lol sorry for the point less thread maybe every one can post this as well make this thread mean something .!


POST your manufacture date and no. !! ?

Sorry no.
1/91 means January '91

Anything made after June, is usually considered the next model year. So since yours is 1/91 it should be a '91 model, if it was a 7/91 it that means it was manufactured in July, and mignt be considered a '92 model.

That used to be the rule of thumb, if there are no signifuicant changes otherwize.
Now-a-days, some manufacturers are selling 2011 model cars in March 2010, which I don't quite understand

koo i didnt know that .!! and mt vin starts off w/ ae96 aswell ..? why is that ?

if you look on your firewall it'll say AE92. my VIN starts with AE95, but there is an AE92 chassis code on my firewall.

Look up the "decode your VIN #" thread... usually that means the trim on your car I believe... mine starts with JT2AE98... the Firewall gives you the model code, AE92...
