im gonna be getting rims and tires soon and none on the local craigslist are anything i like. so ill probably be going to new rims and tires..
i found these konig feathers i like
they are 15x6.5 and i believe from what i have searched through on here i will want about a 40mm offset. these rims are only a 100 each
and i will wrap them with some kumho ecsta ast 195/50r-15 since they seem$54.00. like a decent tire and i can get new ones for
i decided not to lower the car since its my daily driver so im hoping these will look good on my car at stock ride height
the 6.5" rim might pull the 195 in enough so you'll be fine. but a lot of it depends on how wide the tire is. Tire sizes vary greatly even when they're the same advertised size.

oh ok now that you mention it i do remember reading in a post a while back that even some tires are wider than others when they were the same size.
I was planning on getting some kuhmo ecsta's, are you experienced in this brand whether or not they are wider than their stated size?
Actually funny thing, I used to have 205/50R/15 kumho ecsta ast tires on a set of 15x7 +35mm rims and the front had plenty of clearance, the back just barely barely touched enough to shine the paint, but not hurt anything. Ran it that way for a good while and never had any problems. Now I have 195/50R/15 Hankook Radial K106 tires, and I love them. This time it doesn't rub, still close but doesn't touch at all and has great traction. I liked the Kumho's too though.
So basically what I'm saying is, you should be totally fine with the setup you're going to get, don't even trip. :p
$100 each? you can get some from xxr's for about $400 shipped, they look pretty agressive too.
they are 8" and +10mm offset. if your not lowered they will work, and even lowered they will. i have 8" wheel with +25mm on mine and i can use 10-15mm less offset.

do you have a picture of your car with 8" wide rims?
i'm running 8" wide with +25mm off set front and +15 rear. with 195/50/15 tires.

oh alright it looks really good. i wonder how it would look with that size of rim and stock ride height...
well ive been looking and i cannot find 15x8 with the right offset...
i might have to go with 15x7.. thats only a 1/2 inch on each side difference right?
