i have a 91 corolla all trac wagon when im doing 65mph in 5th gear my rpm is at 3200 is that right?

ok cool thats good to know i just got this car. also my other question is my wipers arent working i can move them by had but when i putt just one wiper the other moves to my question is it the wiper? i checked the fuse and its still good. how hard is it to replace the wiper motor? thanks

The engine may be at a higher RPM, but also remember there isn't as much of a load on the engine at that speed so not as much fuel is used.

and if I'm reading your wiper problem correctly, when you turn your wipers on, only one moves?

motor not working at all but i can move the wiper by and and it moves the other wiper with it. i checked the fuse and its still good. is it the relay maybe?

correction the motor is working and the linkage sheered off the motor. so im gonna get another set from the junk yard and see if its the same from a regularr corolla. anyone know if there the same?

The wiper linkage snaps onto the round stud on the motor. Sounds like you simply need to reattach it.

Those parts can wear out quite a bit. I would say check the junk yard for a wiper system that you cannot move much by hand. (very little free-play)
I just replaced a system on my sedan because the little plastic snap pieces and the matal balls in the linkage had so much play that the blades would swing completely off the glass onto the body. That car only has 109K miles on it.
