maintinece for car that sat for a year

so i bought this corolla. it sat for a year in the garage. the previous owner changed spark plugs, new oil, new radiator, new radiator fluid, tranny flush, and some other basic stuff. runs fantastic and super smooth. he recently added a couple dollars worth of gas to the old 1 year old gas. only problem is, after a long while when i go to start it i'd have to gas it to start it up. wonder if i should do sea foam or something? gas stabalizer? injector cleaners? any suggestions? thanks

either siphon the old gas out, put stabilizer in, or drive it til E then fill up with 93oct and give it a good run/beating. the last is what id do lol

might just need fresh gas

also did you check all the fuel lines and brake lines? i would just to be safe because it has been sitting and its an older car. i learned the hard way. backing out of my drive way in my pontiac and the rear brake lines blew. the peddle dropped and it was spraying all over the exhaust.

AE92

hey
give it a good clean inside, meaning injector clean, engine flush etc
and try and run the old gas out of the system. over time the gas gets dirty sitting in the tank and isn't good for the engine so try and run it through the system and fill it up with some nice new clean stuff, or if you have the tools suck out the old gas and fill up.

the old gas is what im worried about. i have no tools to get the old gas out so ill just drive it until it runs out and fill it with brand new one. tomorrow ill get some injector cleaner to fill up the gas tank and clean it and see how it goes. ill most likely do a sea foam. would that be a good idea?

Change the oil, too. It can deteriorate over long periods of time.

Seafoam is good stuff!

Since it was in a garage, it's not as bad as having the car sit out in open environment for a year.

Fill the tank with fresh gas, and add some injector cleaner or sea foam.
